Software Update For Big TV?

       Yesterday morning, I had the TV on. There was a message on the screen that it

was updating it's software and the TV would be going off and back on. This TV has

no cable box. I disconnected from the cable several months ago. It seems spooky to

me, although there may be info in the booklet, which I haven't read. I guess I will now.

It's always better late than never. I just wondered if anyone knows anything about this.

       What is this Techy world coming to? Anyone's guess, I suppose and I'm Techy

lacking...lol
