Catching Up Saturday

Blogger couldn't find my web page this AM...lol And
went to a search that didn't even spell it right....haha
So now I'm on Firefox and so far it's OK. Even Safari
didn't do the job right most of the time, didn't like it.

I'm finally able to post comments so far and I'm way behind.
It's hot and gonna get hotter. But I have to take some more
stuff to the mission store. It feels so good to finally get my
closets cleared out. It has been a long process, but I'm get-
ting there. Sometimes it's hard to decide what you don't need.

Kassey is catching some zzzzz's but she'll no doubt get up when
I leave. She's a lot more secure now, so she doesn't go to her
food bowl when she knows I'm going. Sometimes she'll follow
me to the door and I explain that I won't be gone long and she
can look for me from the window.

An ambulance just came for someone and it looked like my
Sister's neighbor. Her neighbor had surgery recently and for
some reason they had to stop during the surgery and close her
up. Finally she came home. As word goes around, I'm sure I'll
hear about it.  I'm sorry about this, but I'm glad too that it wasn't
my Sister.
Gotta get going out in the heat. Yall stay cool and Blessed.

This past week, Mom has been real busy in the house.
I stayed in my room as she sprayed the carpet with
sweet smelling stuff. She also pushed the sucky monster.
I guess I've learned to live with it acause it didn't scare me
this time. She also hided some things acause she said the
spy was coming for our yearly inspection.
Mom showed spy the mold in her bathroom closet that has
been here before. Well, then this man came and checked it .
So now Mom is using my shower now, until it is fixed. I don't
mind as long as she doesn't give me a shower.
I hope you kitties, woofies and beans are having an easy Sunday. 

Sad Saturday…..Kassey

I used to have some woofiie furriends named Bonnie, Baxter and Buzz.
Mom says we won’t be reading any more of their cute blogs acause
their Dad passed away. She said it has been an unhappy day for her
and so many of our innerweb friends.

On spaces, their Dad would let them visit and they were so funny
and cute. And  Mom always enjoyed reading  acause their Dad was such
a funny human and it was a joy to read his posts and comments.

Mom here….. There is a huge void after losing a good man such as Bob
Bowers. He will forever be missed. Rest in peace, Bob.

Friday Watch For Water ….Kassey

Mom moved her toy back to the living-room. I didn’t even speak as I went to my bowl for
a few bites. I then took my post in the bed-room window. Nothing going on here.

So here I am on my pillow watching the clouds that are supposed to drop water today. The humans
have talked about our chance for water drops. Pfffsssst. We’ll see. Mom just told me to watch for it.

I graced Mom with my presence this morning. She hoped I’d stay here for awhile. But when she hooked up the flashy box , I had to check it out. I hope your easy is a good one.
No sky water as promised Friday.
We finally got water from the sky yesterday.  Mom went shopping and enjoyed seeing the water even though it didn’t last long..

It’s her fault we haven’t been blogging much. We have been visiting some and maybe we’ll catch up.
Mom said the weatherman said we may have T-Storms and some needed water from the sky. And
as always, she’ll make me move from the window.

Sometimes it’s so depressing to be left alone. Mom has been shopping too much lately. She’s been bringing home some organizers to utilize more space, she says. Well, Mom, I say, enough already.
I showed my unhappiness when she walked towards the apartment. My furs were quite ruffled. And she hates it when I reach for the blinds cords. I did just that acause she needs to know how I feel when she leaves me home alone.
I am thankful that she always comes home to me.

Mom disturbed my easy today hiding laundry in this plastic thingy.
I hope your easy was smooth and undisturbed .

I’m waiting for my unfriendly neighbor to come home. I don’t think she likes me acause when I speak to her with my loud meows, she ignores me. Mom regrets not having the flashy box on video when I was pacing the window trying to get her attention. And she had to see and hear  me acauce she was watering her flowers. Mom tried to console me acause I couldn’t understand . She said,” I’m sorry,Kassey. Mommy loves you.”  Maybe some hoomans just don’t realize that we know what a simple ‘hello’ means. And it could make a house kitty so happy.

Mom and I were waked up by boomies, flashes and hard water against the bedroom window.
This was around middle of dark time. So Mom moved the bed again away from the window.
She didn’t mind acause we needed the much needed sky water. She had to repeat , “Kassey,
get away from the window.” I have to keep watch no matter what the weather. It’s just a cat
thing. MOL
I hope all our furriends have nice sky water day if you want it.

Mom, you promised me some sardines. I’m reminding you here.
I first tried to climb the TV to get your attention. Maybe my eyes
will tell you that I’m very serious. I saw you hide it in the big box.

So…..? I’ll retire to my pillow after I get my fish. Thanks, Mom.

Mom here:  Yesterday, I continued having problems posting this and then it got stormy so I just never returned….good old rain.

Cloudy Thursday Ramblings

I love cloudy days especially with a possibility of rain..We’ve had rain lately
but it never lasts long. It’s a good day to prowl through closets and re arrange
what has been rearranged. I’m coming across papers to shred as well. I won-
der if I’ll ever get through….oh well, it keeps this old girl occupied.

I’ve been making my homemade ice cream with frozen peaches and frozen
bananas, vanilla yogurt, and all natural peanut butter. This concoction really
goes well together and is scrumptious. I stopped buying ice cream after the
Christmas holidays last year. I also haven’t made any tea cakes this year as
I recall. I am losing weight which is a plus. I have an under active thyroid and
losing weight has always been a problem. I do hope that changing my eating
habits, which includes a lot of fiber, is the reason for my weight loss.

I bought a book by Janet Evanovich “Plum Lovin’. But I haven’t read much.
Maybe I can after I get my work done. Oh I got it for .50 at Big Lot’s off
clearance. I love a bargain.

I’ve gotten hooked lately on The Young and The Restless. I used to watch
but quit from boredom I guess. I started watching Bold and Beautiful again.
It is interesting for now. I do get bored easily.
Well, gotta get busy. Y’all have a good one.

Mom made me a tower by stacking organizers under the card table. I love it and I can look down on Mom
when she comes in.  You can see how high it is by looking at the bottom photo. It is 3 organizers deep.
Mom is having ‘Stick’ problems again and this is the 3rd try, so I hope it gets posted this time.

I’m picky I know. Mom put my pillow up here, but I
wouldn’t use it acause I prefur my furry cube. She hasn’t figured out how to de-fur it yet.
I have no privacy here either as you see.
Ok, Mom, I said, ‘What do you want?” Of course
she wanted nothing, just to check on me.

Happy Accident…..Lemony Goodness

in the kitchen after making home-made buttermilk. I had
almost a 1/2 gallon of 1% milk and dumped Lemon Juice in it
to make buttermilk. I seldom measure things like this.I decided to make my pound cake recipe using 1/2 recipe, not
realizing that I was too short on my self-rising flour. I then cut
the recipe another 1/2, making it a 1/4 measurement of the full
recipe.( I used honey instead of sugar and olive oil instead of
good old butter.)

This turned out to be a very lemony, wonderful surprise. Of
course, I doubt I can use this buttermilk to make biscuits. But,
it will make delish waffles and pancakes, cookies,etc.
The last piece was spread with vanilla yogurt sprinkled with
cinnamon…..ummmm…Recipe follows :

2- 1/2 c. Self-Rising Flour
1/2 c. butter
1 -1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
350   25-30 minutes.

Wordless Wednesday Until……Kassey

Mom said the pest man was coming and I thought I’d get a nice undisturbed nap….until
she pulled out the noisy sucky monster. Mom thought I wasn’t afraid of it anymore. Well,
she was wrong. MOL. She saw me crouched and told me to stay acause she had to get
the flashy box. Silly Mom. I’m not moving  while that sucky monster sucks

Mama bird appeared after baby flew to the window.

I wondered if baby was looking for a bug.

This lady came down the parking lot and the maintenance man waved her back , probably telling her where she’d find a handicap entrance to the walk. She visited the lady next door. I thought she was so cute. This lady is in her 90′s , someone told me. Mom :   Kassey was in her bedroom and I called her but she wasn’t interested. She also missed the rabbit that ran away as I fed the birds. She only got up when the door was opened.

We had a nice weekend and disagreed on the blinds a lot.
Mom kept putting me out of the bedroom and closing the
door. Of course, in the morning she tells me she’s sorry
for locking me out. I always forgive her acause I love her.
She told me today that she has a solution to our problem.
She’s gonna put a folding thingy between our bed and the
window, allowing me to stay on guard. She’ll raise the blinds
higher too, thinking this will help.
“Thanks, Mom,” I said.

Gotta Outsmart This Cat….LOL, etc.

The folding thingy didn’t work. This girl is gonna have her
way. I’ve thought about keeping her awake as much as possible
during the day. And maybe forcibly putting her harness and leach
on and going for a walk. She has been needing extra loving lately
but it has to be her way. no picking up.
Somethings gotta change, coz she’s way too smart for me. She left
me an uncovered gift this morning, unusual for her. Maybe her potty
needed checking during the night, so I’ll have to start checking when
she starts misbehaving during the night. She had made 3 deposits last
night. I always make sure it’s cleaned before bed time. And we do turn
in pretty early as she expects.
It’s gonna be hot, hot again today and no rain in sight. I keep thinking
about the awful Irene and the trouble she has caused so many people.

Easy Like Sunday,Finally…..Kassey

My human brother and children came for the weekend.
They needed the card table for the children at meal time. And I had to sleep by the window exposed instead of in my comfy cube. So my weekend wasn’t so easy. Awful Mom just forgot about my comfort.
I needed her last night and I tried to get her up while doing my usual thing. She said she needed sleep and she put me out again. I knocked and she ignored me. My human nephew knocked and told her I had barfed. I was in the potty when she saw me and there was a little puddle of water that came up. She wiped it up and went back to bed. She still didn’t realize I had to sleep on my pillow. Well, duh, Mom, I was trying to tell you.
Today, when she finally noticed her big mistake, I wasted no time getting  in my cube. She put the organizers there like steps the way she usually does. My human brother Alan took some photos and titled one ‘Not Easy Sunday’. He sent Mom a text with the photo but she can’t get it on the ‘puter.
Kellen (human Nephew) and I are friends now. I even ate from his hand, but Mom didn’t have the flashy box as usual. I hope effurrybuddy is having a good easy Sunday.

Sweet Monday Rain

Rain,rain, love it. The temps are in the 60′s, like Fall.
We’ve waited so long for a good soaking rain. And
so far there are no storms predicted for us. I’m so
grateful for that. My hall closet is so stuffed at the
present. I’m still getting rid of excess and TN son
took a lot with  him yesterday. I love those empty
organizers, a relief indeed.

We had a good visit, but sweet Kassey, as she
spoke about yesterday was most unhappy. All is
forgiven and she slept with me for awhile. And of
course the blinds thing started again and out she went.
She is so persistent and she only does the blinds thing
when I’m in the room. If this weren’t the case, they’d
be broken. I guess the only thing to day is bring her
food into the bedroom at night. Her bowl of water is
in her bathroom and sometimes the water is running.
Somehow she and I have to get more rest at night.

I may go out today to the T-Mobile store and check
out their smartphones. They really have some good deals
for the holiday. I just don’t know which kind to buy or if
I’m smart enough to operate one. This techy stuff is moving
way too fast for me. On that note, have a Blessed week,
everyone.
